Take me back Seminyak
As the most of the parts of the world is approaching the cold season, it’s so good to go to some tropical places and still feel the warmth. It is such a pleasure remembering our summer days. Those who are actually thoroughly in love with summer like me are definitely looking for some warm and beach destinations to travel to during the holidays or after.So, here comes my blog rewinding my memories of Seminyak in Bali. With my blog title, Take me Back, Seminyak , I suppose you got the hint that I’m going to give you a strong choice when you are planning to choose your travel destination this holiday season.
Seminyak is a plush region in Bali with beach, lots of cool nightclubs, boho chic and tropical shopping boutiques and some mouthwatering food.
So, here comes my blog rewinding my memories of Seminyak in Bali. With my blog title, Take me Back, Seminyak , I suppose you got the hint that I’m going to give you a strong choice when you are planning to choose your travel destination this holiday season.
Seminyak is a plush region in Bali with beach, lots of cool nightclubs, boho chic and tropical shopping boutiques and some mouthwatering food.
Seminyak is a place in Bali where you can have public beaches. Unlike the other parts of Bali, this is the hub of Bali and you can hardly find private beach resorts, villas etc. But that does not make Seminyak lose its charm even for a bit. In fact, if you are instagramming Bali or finding some boards of Bali on Pinterest, all the cool pool villas you get to see is mostly situated in Seminyak. If you picture Bali with people chilling in the pool villas, then Seminyak is a place where you must book your stay.
In Seminyak, I stayed at Chandra Villas and it has become very close to my heart. The stereotypical Balinese architecture of the villa and the warmth of the staffs made my memories with them even stronger. I remember waking up to some yummy food for breakfast every morning. The touching part of Chandra Villas was that the staffs used to come to the villa and prepare our breakfast in the morning when we were asleep so that we could wake up and relish the freshly cooked breakfast. I loved the whole vibe of it.
Another special memory at the Chandra Villas was their Berbecue day. I couldn’t even expect that I could get such a wide spread of Berbecue in Bali. I was surprised to see so many number of vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices they cooked for us. The best part of the barbecue evening was that they came to our villa with the barbecue oven and our choices of fruits, fish, crab, shrimp, prawn and chicken. The main thing that made it so special was that they not only wanted us to have those mouthwatering food but also wanted us to be an active part of their preparation.
I am a noob in terms of cooking. But while watching them grilling, I also tried my hand to grill one or two sticks (although they didn’t come out really good. So I thought it would be wise to leave it to the best men in the business). The barbecue day was really special with us enjoying delicious berbecue by the side of the pool in the evening.
While enjoying our cozy stay at the Chandra Villas, we went out shopping as well because Seminyak is the centre of fashion in Bali with some super awesome boutiques.
On our final day of visit, we went to the Seminyak beach. It was not super crowded and they had the arrangement of sun beds and umbrellas at the beach even when it was a public beach. I saw people around were having a wonderful time sipping coconut water, swimming and enjoying in the sea. But I didn’t enjoy it that much because the people out there were a little too pushy for you to buy sarongs, shell jewelleries or kites and coconuts. Sometimes a little too interference with my me-time kills my vibe. So, I decided to wrap up a little quickly.
However, in the whole, the entire 3-day stay at Seminyak was extremely good and I would love to come back to beach villas at Seminyak for another authentic Bali vibe like it’s seen in the pictures. So, my heart is literally saying, Take me back, Seminyak.
